Inspired by our Peace Corps experiences, Madécasse partners with rural farmers in Madagascar to produce the best possible ingredients. We are the only chocolate company working directly with a Madagascar cocoa cooperative to provide the farmers with the training and equipment they need to get more value for their crops.

Beyond the farm, we are one of a few companies in the world to make bean-to-bar chocolate in the country that grows the cocoa. This keeps 4x more income in the hands of the Malagasy people (vs. exporting cocoa). Madécasse, an evolution of fair!

What if making some of the finest chocolate on earth was also a means to do good in the world? Fortunately for us and for the people of Madagascar, this is the reality of Madécasse. Brett Beach and Tim McCollom met in The Peace Corps and have spent more than 10 years on the African island in the Indian Ocean. This place has become their home, the people their friends and family. From bean to bar, the chocolate is made fresh at source right where the cocoa grows -- a rare combination anywhere, but especially in Africa. The result is not only extraordinary single origin chocolate; it is improved quality of life for local self-taught chocolatiers and the people they employ.
